Choose a Dealer with a Physical Site
Some intermediaries have no site of their own and pass the vehicle on after collection, which can affect quote transparency and data security. NW Motors handles vehicles at our own large site.
Clear Out Personal Belongings
Before handover, remove personal documents, belongings and clutter from the vehicle, including storage compartments, the boot and electronic toll cards. Once the vehicle is towed away and dismantling begins, lost items are very hard to recover.
Check the Scrapping Certificate is Complete
When you receive the scrapping certificate, check that the Business Registration Certificate number, chassis number, registration mark and company chop are all present — the Transport Department requires these to accept a registration cancellation.
