Traditional scrapping generally means crushing vehicles as scrap metal. Car recycling is broader: recyclers evaluate whether intact parts (catalytic converters, engines, body panels) can be reused, and recycle remaining metals according to environmental standards. NW Motors passes salvageable parts value directly to car owners.
2. What information do I need to provide for a recycling quote?
Simply WhatsApp us: vehicle make & model, year of first registration, current condition (running/non-running, accident or faults), clear photos of the exterior and any damage, and vehicle location. Our specialist replies promptly with a precise quote.
3. Can you collect dead, flooded, or keyless vehicles?
Yes. Our towing team carries wheel dollies, winches and booster gear. Even with locked wheels, tight basement parking or lost keys, we handle these cases and can tow safely. Please mention parking restrictions (e.g. basement height limit) when requesting a quote.
4. What procedures must I complete after vehicle handover?
Our towing driver delivers the original "Vehicle Scrapping Certificate" on-site. Under Transport Department regulations, the registered owner must submit or post TD 184 with original registration documents within 15 days to cancel registration. If the licence has 60+ days remaining, the Treasury will issue a refund cheque.
5. How do I ensure my car is not illegally cloned or resold?
NW Motors is an EPD Registered Vehicle Scrapping Company (Registration No. 4408) with a valid Business Registration. Our Scrapping Certificate includes our BR number and chassis details. We strictly commit: no plate cloning, no illegal reselling, and registration documents are destroyed after processing.
