Common situations that need a tow
Breakdown / will not start
Engine, gearbox or electronic faults that leave the car undrivable and needing removal from the site.
Flat battery
Left standing too long or lights left on. Tell us the condition and we arrange accordingly.
Lost or failed key
When the car cannot be unlocked or put into gear, the towing method differs and has to be assessed first.
Tight bay / basement car park
Doors that will not open, narrow access or a height limit — we check the site before committing.
Flood-damaged / post-collision
A car that should not be driven after water damage or a collision, to avoid further damage.
Seized wheels / brake failure
Cars that cannot be pushed safely need the right equipment to load and unload without damage.
How towing charges are worked out
Before you hand over a car, it is worth asking where the towing charge starts and stops. This is how we work:
Standard cases: no extra towing charge
Normal road conditions where the tow is part of a scrapping or recycling handover carries no extra towing charge.
Special arrangements: explained at quote time
If a crane, a road closure, an outlying island or a vehicle that cannot be loaded directly is involved, we explain the arrangement and any extra cost first — dispatch only after you confirm.
On-site check, then handover
We check the licence plate, chassis number and condition on arrival, then pay on the spot in cash or by FPS at the quoted price.
Four steps from quote to collection
WhatsApp quote
Send the licence plate, make and year, condition and location; we reply with a quote and the towing arrangement.
Book a time
We dispatch at a time that suits you. For an immediate case, call 6338 6097.
On-site towing
We arrive at the agreed time and load the vehicle in the way the site allows.
Handover and certificate
We check the vehicle, pay on the spot and issue the vehicle destruction certificate; the owner cancels the registration within 15 days.
Based at our own Tuen Mun yard, covering all of Hong Kong
Towing starts from our Tuen Mun (Tsz Tin Tsuen) yard and covers Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories. Tuen Mun, Lam Tei, So Kwun Wat and the Castle Peak Road area are usually the easiest to schedule. For outlying islands, restricted zones or sites that need special access, send us the location and photos on WhatsApp first and we confirm feasibility before quoting.
Towing questions
1. Is towing always free?
Standard cases — normal road conditions where the tow is part of a scrapping or recycling handover — carry no extra towing charge. If a crane, a road closure, an outlying island or another special arrangement is needed, we state any extra cost at quote time, never on arrival.
2. Can you tow a car out of a basement car park?
It depends on the height limit, access width and turning space. Send photos of the entrance and the car position first; we explain at quote time whether it can be towed directly or needs another arrangement.
3. The key is lost or the wheels are locked — can you still tow it?
Yes, but the method differs from a normal tow. Tell us whether the car can be unlocked and whether the wheels are seized, and we explain how we will handle it before dispatch.
A car that will not move can still be quoted
